The Unexpected

Life is about learning, and I strive to learn something new everyday. Today, I learned that girls can be just as vulgar as guys. While studying in the library during my spare, a grade 11 class came in to use the computers, but nothing out of the ordinary occurred. As the students got nestled into their seats, I was getting back to studying, and all of a sudden, "BURRRRRP". The ensuing events consisted of rabid giggling, slight wheezing, and the quote of the day "Can you smell the pizza I had for lunch?".

One would assume these were a bunch of immature guys, but to my surprise it was two girls. It wasn't the first time I had heard a girl burp, but it was the first time I witnessed that kind of reaction and behavior from girls. It was quite unexpected, but we are human, regardless of gender these things happen, and I appreciated the fact that these girls simply didn't care. The atmosphere however, didn't complement the behavior too well and eventually it became slightly annoying, especially when you're trying to study. Overall, I learned something new today and I certainly can't complain about learning.

  1. Is it strange that I find a girl with a powerful belch slightly attractive? Just something about it I guess. I love pizza.
