Audience: 15 - 20
Purpose: This piece was written to encompass the magical history of poetry. Throughout history, many stories have been written and many emotions have been felt.
The rhythmic verses
Telling stories of sorrow
Stories of a dark tomorrow
Illustrating life
Through the eyes of an artist
Some may even say they are the smartest
Using rhythm and rhyme
We are taken through time
Traveling from war torn poppy fields
To prehistoric dinosaur heels
The possibilities are endless
The poets are relentless
From Shakespeare to Poe
Emotions waver to and fro
Thoughts are provoked
Imagination awakened
And our breathe is taken
For poetry,
There is a beginning
But for the stories,
There can never be an end

This is really amazing. I like how you made the poem flow, and how you basicaly described aspects of poetry.
